Bruce Canterbury, baritone, has performed as a singer and soloist in Maine for many years and joined St Mary Schola in 2012. Originally from Connecticut, he held the position of Bass Section Leader and soloist at Woodfords Congregational Church in Portland for 22 years. He has also sung with Renaissance Voices, ChoralArt, and most recently with the Amethyst Chamber Ensemble. He graduated from Westminster Choir College with a degree in Music Education – Voice Principal. He has also recently started lecturing about classical music in the area. He and his wife Lorraine live in both Portland and at the family camp in Bristol. He enjoys being creative with wood on his scroll saw, golfing, sailing and being with family members.
