Bruce Canterbury

Bruce Canterbury, baritone, has performed for many years and joined St Mary Schola in 2012.  He graduated from Westminster Choir College with a degree in Music Education – Voice Principal.  Originally from Wethersfield, Connecticut, he moved to Maine in 1988. Still active as a church soloist, he held the position of Bass Section Leader at Woodfords Congregational Church in Portland for 22 years.  He has sung with Renaissance Voices and is now a member of ChoralArt.  Retired from a long business career, he and his wife Lorraine live in both Portland and at the family camp in Bristol.  He enjoys making children’s toys on his scroll saw, golfing, sailing and being with family members – David, Tara, Eva, Julie, Lloyd, Robin and Simon.
