Henry Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas is one of the most charming and beloved of all operas. A Classical story of passionate love and betrayal set to music by England’s most brilliant seventeenth-century composer, it remains as appealing and relevant today as when it was first written!
Using period instruments, St Mary’s Schola, under the guest direction of Dr. Christina Edelen, will present a concert version of Dido and Aeneas on two consecutive afternoons this September.
