Jonathan has loved to sing for as long as he can remember. Nine years as a child with the Atlanta Young Singers of Callanwolde saw him perform in venues around the world and under the artistic direction of notable legends such as Robert Shaw and John Rutter. He received his Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance in 2002 from Shorter College in Rome, Georgia.
Highlights of his professional career include: the choral role of Judas in Brooklyn Academy of Music’s production of Bach’s St. Matthew’s Passion under direction on Sir Jonathan Miller in 2006 and 2009, choral performances with the American Symphony and the New York Philharmonic, member and featured soloist with the Trinity Episcopal Cathedral Choir and soloist for the Bach Cantata Choir both in Portland, Oregon.
Since moving to Maine in 2017, Jonathan has performed with St Mary Schola, Amethyst Chamber Ensemble, Portland Bach Experience, Colby College Collegium, Colby College Symphony Orchestra and King’s Chapel, Boston. He is an active board member for St Mary Schola. Jonathan is an acupuncturist and massage therapist and lives in Newcastle with his beautiful wife and two amazing daughters.
