Sarah Freiberg

Sarah Freiberg, a tenured member of the Handel and Haydn Society and Emmanuel Music, has performed with Boston, Philharmonia, Portland and Seattle baroque orchestras and the Boston Early Music Festival. She is cellist for the Connecticut Early Music Festival and Blue Hill Bach. Her duo “Tutti Bassi” with Colleen McGary-Smith recently released its first CD, “Have Cellos, Will Travel” on the Centaur label. As corresponding editor for STRINGS magazine, she has contributed dozens of articles and reviews. Sarah edited and recorded Guerini cello sonatas and recorded the complete Laurenti cello sonatas. She teaches at Boston University and the Powers Music School. Sarah received D.M.A. and M.M. degrees from Stony Brook University, and holds degrees from the San Francisco Conservatory, Brown University and the Mozarteum.
